The Falcon Players became one of Loughborough's leading amateur theatre groups since being founded in 1957. We staged 142 productions and specialised in producing comedy and farce written by well known playwrights.

Our final production, A Bolt From the Blue, was produced in 2009. Unfortunately, difficulty casting future productions, together with the absence of a suitable venue (Stanford Hall Theatre being unlikely to reopen for the use of amateur companies in the near future) meant that we decided to take a break from producing shows for a while. After nearly 8 years in this situation, we sadly came to the decision in 2017 to close the group. We have enjoyed a remarkable 60 years in existence and celebrated this with lunch on the Great Central Railway, an event which was attended by many members and friends.
